Club roles: Chair person

Hello everyone, I'm Zillah I have been Chairperson of B&D since 2006. I have a very supportive committee around me and they do all the hard work! I like to think that my job is to make sure that everyone gets the most they can out of being a club member. My favourite part of club life is chatting with other members, encouraging them and hearing about all the activities that they are doing.
I have a little grey horse called  Pepper and although I'm not the bravest of riders we have lots of fun together. I am easy to recognise because I always wear something purple!

Hello! I bought my first horse as a five year old (Joby!) in 2003, joined B&D a couple of years later, and joined the committee about a year after that! I would not have done anywhere near as much with Joby if I hadn’t been a member of B&D and I’ve met some great friends along the way. I’ve had a go at Trec, done a few BE Intro’s and now have British Dressage points which I am very proud of!

Two horses of my own - Charlie (very old, retired eventer) and Carrie (also getting on a bit!).  I enjoy dressage and eventing although Carrie's jumping days are behind her so will have to stick to dressage!

E Mail: jayne.Meehan@btinternet.com

Club roles: Intro Club Organiser.

I joined the riding club about 5 years ago. I ride Murphy,a kind but canny grey horse well known to fellow members. As a regular camp attendee he has been know to trot off attached to a stable door, and to throw toys out of the pram if he feels left behind. We have been a partnership for 5 years and he is much loved! My role is mainly to run intro alongside Di Sealey our instuctor. We have a lot of fun with many members new and old.

Hi I am Noolie, I joined B&D last year, this is the first riding club I have ever been a part of and I LOVE it, I have made so many new friends!  I bought my first horse Herbie (the Dunn!) about three years ago, it has been a slow start but with all the help, encouragement, support and fun I have had with B&D over the last year we are really going places now!  I am an aspiring eventer and did my first ODE this year, lets hope there are many more to come!

Hi I am Kate.  I have been a member of B&D now for 4yrs, and have owned my horse Ben for 5yrs(crazy ex-racehorse).  With the help and support of everyone in the club and instructors, we have competed on several of the teams.  So when you are next at a rally and see a horse spook, spin or leap off the floor(with or without a jump involved) it is probably me!!

Club roles:  Rally schedule

I have been a member of Berkeley and District for longer than i can remember.  My horse Copper is now classed as a veteran at 17 but no-one has told her that.  Over the time we have been a partnership we have had a go at most things from TREC to sidesaddle but xc is definately our favourite part of eventing which has been our hobby of the past few years.
