Area Novice Dressage (30th June) and Dressage to Music (7th July)

The novice dressage area qualifiers took place last weekend (30th June) and we entered two teams and one pair.  It was a very, very hot day and my thanks to all those who took part and did their best for the club.

The teams were:
Nancy Harding, Ann Marshall (stand in for Helen Stone who hurt herself and couldn't ride) Helen Abraham, Nicci Phelps, Kate Nicholls, Sue Meredith and Kathleen Griffiths.
 
We all did quite well and hopefully enjoyed the day with Nicci outshining us all and coming 2nd in her arena.

The pairs team of Sarah Couzins and Annie Cox won the competition and have qualified for Lincoln in September. They then went on to do pairs to music this weekend at Cheltenham and won that too.  So many congratulations to them and we wish them well for the finals.

Thanks again to everyone who took part, it is a pleasure to see people having a go and enjoying themselves.

Area Horse Trials - Sunday 14th June at Broadway

Well done to Carola Silvey and Claire Moreton who represented Berkeley & District as intermediate individuals at the Area Horse Trials.
 
They both did brilliantly round a demanding course.  Congratulations to Claire who won her section.  She has qualified to go to the Championships at Offchurch in August.
 
Thank you too to Helen Abraham our Team Manager and Helen Moreton who supported them on the day.

Don't forget you need to work up 5 hours of helping this year to maintain your membership. Please let Helen Abraham know of any hours you have worked.  Remember - no help, no membership renewal.

Your hours can be worked helping at rallies, members competitions, the ODE at West Littleton on 6th June.  Friends and Family are allowed to work your hours for you!
